Sophie walked out of the room looking absolutely ecstatic. There was this contagious excitement written boldly on her face. The tension in the air had been washed away. She quickly made her way to the pot of healing cream she’d been working on and placed it carefully on the counter. Then she gestured for me to sit on one of the chairs, but this time, faced backward. I complied without hesitation, the innocent soft chair creaking beneath as I settled. Sophie’s hands were really gentle as she started tending to the wounds.
