Chapter Sixty One Echo POV I have only felt completely and utterly helpless a few times in my life. The first time was when I was younger, and I remember walking in to my parents room, only to see my mother sobbing on the bed. I was about 8 years old. “Mama, what’s wrong?” I asked her. “Nothing, baby. Mama’s just having a hard time with some small health issues.” I nodded my head, but didn’t believe her. She stayed sad for a few weeks before starting to go back to normal. My dad was always by her side trying to cheer her up, and something told me that they were grieving.
