Natalia: The last of the guards left, and I watched as the door shut behind them with a low thud. And though I didn’t allow myself to speak, I could feel the tension that roamed around us like a plague. The silence that followed felt heavier than the air. And no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't help but find myself looking at the alpha every now and then, hoping that he would calm down despite knowing that he was angrier than he should be.
