I shake my head, unfazed. "Um, that's sad." "You think?" "I don't understand what that has anything to do with me or the damn package." He sighs. "Are you seriously missing the point? Your father couldn't have kids." "That's a lie, because I'm seated here. If he couldn't have kids then I obviously wouldn't be here right now." He chuckles without humor. "You think I'd lie about that?" "I have no idea how big or small your lying capacity is so I wouldn't know. Plus, your 'truth' sounds a little bit farfetched." He leans forward to look at me. "I have no reason to lie to you. Your father is long dead, and you need to know the truth. It's about time." I freeze when the statement slowly sinks in. "s**t!" "What." "You're my father, aren't you?" "Alisha..." "Confirm or deny."
