I lie on Allen's bed for a minute before I walk back to the living room. Rina is still seated on the same spot while Alton is lying on the couch.
Adam is nowhere to be seen.
"Where is Adam?"
Alton lifts his head slightly from the couch to look at me.
"He left. What happened in there?"
"Nothing. I'm sleepy so I'm going to bed."
"You two can spend the night here, you know?"
"On the couch? It's a little small for both of us."
"You can have my bed. I'll take the couch."
"What?"
He grins.
"I'm just trying to be a gentleman."
Karina shakes her head.
"It's okay, Alton. We'll be fine. We will see you tomorrow."
