SONIA’S POV Our honeymoon – if I can even call it that – officially comes to an end today. After the incident with the teenager in the early hours of the morning, I had gone back to bed and only awoken early enough to see Anthony leave by 7 a.m. Before leaving, he’d told me to get ready as we would be driving back home around evening time. He didn’t say where he was going to, and I didn’t ask either. I’ve begun to learn that his whereabouts shouldn’t be any of my business. To him, at least. I spend my morning packing up my bag, having breakfast, taking a walk around noon and by the times it’s 4 p.m., I go to say my goodbyes to Gerald and a few of his relatives I met on the farm yesterday. “You’re just as beautiful as they mentioned, Mrs. Romano.” Gerald’s older sister says to me.
