My birthday was... well, boring. Other than the accident itself, nothing eventful happened. Ace refused to leave me alone for even a minute, and whenever he would, Darren and Adrian would be with me. Adrian, I understood. But I had no idea why Darren chose to stay every time Ace left. I could sense some tension between Ace and Adrian, but I was too tired to address it. They were two adult men, and they would handle it themselves. I no longer wished to be referee between them. Aisha could take that job on for me.
Finally, after almost a week, I was discharged from the hospital. Ace picked me up late at night, and made sure I wouldn't inform anyone else about it. I wasn't sure why, but I knew he probably had a reason. I trusted him enough to not push it.
