A huge smile stretched across Aisha's lips as soon as she spotted him, and she quickly increased her pace to catch up to him.
"Hey," she greeted with excitement, now walking beside Adrian.
"Hi," he replied, glancing down at her. He offered her a small, one that didn't quite reach his eyes.
"What's up?" she asked, pretending she didn't notice.
"Nothing." His reply was short and simple.
Her eyebrows furrowed slightly, but she did not say anything. "So... what class do you have--"
"Do you know where Ava is?" He cut her off, glancing down at his phone.
"No," she muttered, her smile falling now. "Why? Is something wrong?"
"No, not at all." He shook his head. "I just need to talk to her about something. I'm gonna go look for her, yeah? If you see her or Tanisha, give me a call will you?
