ALISHA’S POV
I immediately took a staggered step backwards, sending my gaze to the floor so Calum wouldn’t notice how shocked I was.
He wasn’t a fool and had never been one. He was always quick to catch up on things but never did I imagine he’ll be able to guess I wasn’t the Alpha.
“What?” I looked up at him, trying my best to keep a neutral expression on. I was suddenly conflicted- stuck between acting surprised and clueless. “What do you mean by that? Of course, I am your Alpha. I mean, why would you even think I’m not the Alpha?”
“Because the Alpha I know,” he went straight to the point. “Is nothing like this. He’s an undeserving and insensitive person and that’s not who I am seeing right now.”
