LUCIEN’S POV
Kane led the way out of the office and from his direction, I could guess he was walking over to his office.
I wasn’t ready to begin working with him though. I needed a while to face my new reality and even more, needed to head back to the omega training camp to continue my work for the day.
But Alisha had mercilessly stripped me of that right. Now I not only had to listen to her but also Kane who was supposed to be my best friend.
“Where are we going, Kane?” I finally voiced out my question. “Are we-“
“Remain silent and follow me,” he hissed at me. “Didn’t you hear the Alpha? You now work for me and whatever you’ll do would be completely my decision. So keep your mouth shut and quietly walk behind me.”
