I woke up from my deep slumber. I slept like a log, exhausted. Kaid was nowhere to be seen, his scent faint, meaning he had woken up long ago. Yesterday was chaotic, but thankfully, their misunderstanding was cleared up before they made any harsh decisions. “If you hadn’t spoken up, the situation could be worse,” Athena commented. "I know I couldn’t let them take the blame for protecting me. Furthermore, they are Kaid’s family. I don’t think they will try to harm me. And now their daughter is mated to our Gamma." I replied. I couldn't let Stephen's bond get ruined because he was trying to protect me. “Ex-gamma, he is an Alpha now.” Athena corrected. "That’s right. We also have to solve that issue." I sighed.
