After I explained everything to Ivy, I could see that her frown had disappeared. Thank Goodness. I knew something wasn’t what she expected, but it was my side of the story. Now, it was her time to explain anything she wanted, but I didn’t want to pressure her. I wanted her to be comfortable.
“I want to go to my old pack,” Ivy said.
What the what? Did she not hear a thing I said?
“Ivy, love, you could be killed if you go there. I know you can’t stay dead, but still.” She looked at me like she dared me to try to stop her. I knew I couldn’t, so I needed to understand why she wanted to go. I was not going to let her go to a place where she could get hurt.
