I couldn’t believe what I was hearing from my mate. I’m his protector? This has to be some joke. Has anyone seen his wolf? He is massive. He could quash me like a bug with his paw.
“Your protector? Is this a joke? You could squash me with one of your paws”, I voiced my thoughts, making him chuckle.
“True, but everyone believes this prophesy and your family believe in you” my mate said.
“Do you? Believe in me?” I asked. He walked closer to me, cupping my cheek and making me look up at him.
“Yes, I do believe in you”, he leaned down and kissed my lips. This was my first kiss ever and, after seeing others at school make out, I knew I had to mimic him, and I did. The kiss was perfect, and it took my breath away. When we pulled apart, Uriel looked me in the eyes before kissing
