I sit in my car for a minute after I pull up outside Riya's house.
I'm nervous as hell and my heart is beating a little bit too hard. I don't know what to expect, but whatever it is, I hope it'll get me from the perpetual darkness I've been in for the last two weeks.
I blow out my breath before I get my phone from the console. I dial her number, and I take a deep breath as I wait for her to answer.
I'm such a wreck.
I almost laugh at the ridiculousness of the situation. Everyone that knows me thinks I'm stone cold and heartless, but I'm like a smitten puppy when it comes to her.
I play by her rules, and I don't mind.
I don't care.
I'm willing to have her any way I can, and if all she can give me are tiny drops and morsels, I'll have those.
