Jordan is miraculously out of jail.
It's been a week since Savannah died and he's been free all this time.
If he could find Savannah, he can easily find me.
My hands are clammy with sweat as I get out of the car.
My eyes scan the parking lot before I practically run into the restaurant. I'm so paranoid right now. I feel like I'm about to have a panic attack.
"Who's chasing you?!" Mia demands when I slump into the seat beside her.
"Jordan is out." I gasp; totally out of breath.
"What?" Mia exclaims in shock while Hazel moves her seat closer. She wraps an arm around me, and I rest my head on her shoulder.
They both stay very still and very quiet until finally, my breathing normalizes. I sit up with a sigh and I pass Hazel a small, appreciative smile.
