Riya doesn't make an effort to move even after she sees Klein. She only rests her head back on my shoulder and closes her eyes.
Klein shakes his head like he can't believe his eyes.
"I knew it! That first night when I saw you two together, I knew this was going to happen!"
"You knew what was going to happen?"
"Don't play dumb, Reid. You're obviously in love with her. How long has this even been going on?"
I blow out my breath.
"It's a long story."
"I'm sure it is, but you have to give her back to Brian. He's looking for her."
"Ugh, speak of the devil."
Klein looks over his shoulder. Brian just walked out of the bar. He squints against the security lights as he looks around, then he approaches us when he recognizes us.
"What, you'll keep holding her until he gets here?"
