Chapter Seventy-three: In the Dungeon

Why has it come to this? Why can’t anyone trust me? Why am I being locked up for something I didn’t do? How did my life turn into this?
Was I really not meant to be happy? Was I not destined to be with my mate? How could our happiness be so short-lived? Why did it seem like I was jinxed?
Maybe I don’t deserve the good things in life. Why else am I going through this much pain? I’m not a cheat. How could I be? I love Ace with all my heart.
The shocking part is the fact that I don’t even recall what happened. All I recall is the food I ate. And then I ended up in bed with the stranger.
Ace wasn’t even giving me the benefit of the doubt. He chose to believe what he saw.
