Lorenzo POV
“Lorenzo,” she called gently, walking closer to me.
She had the same face, like she hadn't aged all those years. If someone were to guess her age, they’d probably say 27, not knowing she's close to 40.
“What are you doing here?” I asked in a hoarse voice, but she just kept walking toward me.
“I…” she stopped and glanced back, looking at Niko who was standing at the door. He bowed slightly and left immediately.
“Lorenzo... I don't have any excuse to give. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry,” she pleaded, and something churned inside me.
