Chapter 15

[Morgan’s POV] I felt like I was melting. "Caesar." With a low groan, I pushed at his chest, feeling exasperated when he didn't even budge. "Move, you're hot." He moaned incoherently, still sleeping and tightly wrapped around my body. I sighed and stared at the ceiling, sweaty and desperate for water. I tried tugging at his hair, but it only made him wrap his arms around me tighter. He finally woke up when I hit him upside the head. "-the f**k?" He sat up sleepily, eyes still droopy and unblinking. "Why'd you hit me?" I kicked the blanket off me and grabbed my phone from under my pillow. "Because you were hot." His head tilted, looking like he'd drop dead at any second, and stared at me with a frown tugging at his lips. He resembled a kicked puppy, so I leaned over and cupped his cheek to peck his lips, close mouthed and short since we just woke up. "Caesar." He seemed to have other ideas as he manhandled me back down on the mattress. I lost my breath when he dropped his entire weight on me and laid his head on my chest, eyes pitiful as they peered up at me. "Jesus, you're heavy." He let out a soft noise and wrapped his arms around my waist, squeezing tightly and hugging me to him. "Five minutes." I poked his cheek repeatedly. "No, get up." "Morgan." He whined. "There's not even any light outside." "Well, no s**t, it's 4am." "4 am?! You're trying to kill me." I forced his head up and squished his cheeks together. He blinked slowly, almost threatening to fall sleep in my hands. "You didn't even pack yet and we have to be at school at 5." I could see his brain trying to comprehend something, anything at this point. Finally, he huffed and rolled off me. "Whatever." "You're such a baby." I slid off the bed and tossed his empty duffle bag at him. He let it smack him in the face, and I'm sure his muffled mumbling was cursing me. "I'm gonna shower. Don't go back to sleep while I do." Caesar slid the duffle bag off his face and stared at me dully, eyes emotionless as he watched me take my tank top off. "Okay?" I pressed when he showed no signs of hearing me. He rubbed a hand down his face and sat up. "Yeah." "Good boy~" "f**k off." I left him with a bidding laugh, only making him glare at me harder, before closing the bathroom door. I washed the sweat and other substances still lingering on my skin off before washing my hair. I didn't take long finishing up, still unsure if Caesar would go back to sleep or not. When I walked back into our bedroom, towel wrapped around my waist and hair dripping wet, I saw him hunched over his dresser, looking a little more awake. "You gonna shower?" "I showered when you were sleeping." Hm, I wondered why he smelled good after having s*x. He glanced up when I started looking for a pair of clothes next to him. "You need to dry your hair, it's cold in here. You'll get sick." "I will." Dropping the towel, I forced my legs into a pair of boxers and skinny jeans before glaring at Caesar when he laughed after I stumbled into the dresser. "Maybe if you bought your size~" I buttoned them and presented my hips to him. "Look, they fit." A smirk played at his lips. "You sure your d**k isn't-" I smacked him on the head before he could finish his sentence, used to his endless comments about how tight my clothes were. "You're so mean~" After threading a belt through the correct loops, I tucked a random t-shirt into the ripped jeans. "Your ass looks nice in those jeans." "I know." "You're f*****g welcome." "You're f*****g welcome. I let you stare at my ass for free." He rolled his eyes and shoved my towel towards me. "Dry your hair." I dumped the towel in our shared dirty clothes hamper and grabbed a tshirt to dry my hair instead. I stared at myself in the mirror after it was dry, silently contemplating whether to tie it or leave it down. In the end, I left it parted down the middle as it spilled over my shoulders. "Your hair’s getting longer." "Mhm, I think I'm gonna cut it soon." His head snapped over. "No." My eyebrows shot up. "Huh?" "Don't cut it." I leaned against the desk and played with a strand of my hair. "You're making me want to cut it now." "Don't, you'll be ugly." "I'm definitely cutting it now." He looked displeased, making my lips twitch up. It was always funny to me how he cared about my hair more than I did, I couldn't help but tease him over it. "You got a weird fetish for hair or something?" "And what about it?" I laughed and picked out a few bracelets to put on. "Alright, alright. I'll keep it." I glanced at him through the mirror. "Piss me off and I'm cutting it." He gave me a salute. "Yes sir." Pfft. After sliding a few rings on my fingers, I pushed myself away from the desk and grabbed my duffle bag. "Are you done?" "Mhm, let's go." I followed him out the front door before silently making our way to the elevator, mindful of the other people sleeping on the same floor. "Noo." I peeked behind his back to see a sign on the elevator, saying it'd been under maintenance until 6am. I grabbed him by the shirt and dragged him over to the stairs. "Come on." He complained the whole four stairways down, whining about how it was too early for this and how it was unfair how I wasn't out of breath at all. "Maybe if you worked out~" "I don't have time for that." He waved off like always before unlocking his car. While he was driving, my eyes wandered over all the dimly lit buildings, only illuminated by the street lights and slowly fading moon. "I'm hungry." "What do you want me to do about it?" "Buy me food." When he didn't answer, "Please." "What do you want?" "Starbucks." "...You couldn't have said it earlier before we passed it?" I looked out the window and sank down in my seat. "..I wasn't hungry then." - Declan's eyes lit up when Caesar handed him a cup of coffee. "Here." He pretended to wipe his eyes, sniffling and eagerly snatching it up. "I could kiss you." Caesar had his arm draped around my shoulder, fingers absentmindedly playing with my hair, while I sipped at my drink. There were five buses lined in the parking lot, waiting as more students slowly trickled onto campus. "Where's your brother?" "He went off with his friends before you got here." One of our friends, Lauren raised an eyebrow. "He came? Isn't he a sophomore?" Declan nodded. "Yeah, but he's in the art department so they always get invited to trips like these since they make posters for it." She smacked his shoulder repeatedly. "Go get him, he's so cute. I wanna say hi." "He's pretty shy, you'll scare him." She looked offended. "I'm not scary." Another classmate, Hudson, draped an arm over her shoulder. "Yeah, you're just ugly." Ah, they were already arguing. I wish they'd just f**k already. Caesar lowered his head and let his lips graze my ear. "You think they'll finally f**k this time?" I hummed around my straw and watched her scream when he picked her up. "Doubt it." My eyes skimmed the campus, watching the other students standing around while the buses were being loaded. It wasn't hard to find Harrison, not when he was standing next to that ridiculously tall hybird. He was leaning against him, Chet, if I remembered correctly while looking sleepy. Cute. Both of them startled, ears perking up and tail going rigid, when someone knocked into them, making my lips twitch up, amused at how they moved in sync. They exchanged rushed apologies, for some reason all apologizing over something that was clearly the guys fault. The amused smile slowly faded when he reached out and rubbed Harrison's head. Harrison's ears lowered, looking shy as he nodded to whatever the guy said. "What're you staring at so hard?" Caesar followed my mine of vision and let out a low hum of understanding. Hudson nudged Declan. "Isn't that your brother?" "Huh? Where?" He whipped his head around stupidly, and I would've found it funny if it weren't for the way the guy was rubbing Harrison's ears between his fingers. "Again?" He sighed, as if used to this and dropped his duffle bag. "I'll be right back." Declan stalked over to the trio, lips thinned and looking annoyed. "Hey!" We could even hear him from over here. "Get your hands off my baby brother!" The guy startled almost as much as Harrison. I couldn't hear anything else they said, forced to only watch as the guy held his hands up, mostly likely intimidated by Declan's large build. He came back a minute later, dragging Harrison with him who looked scolded with his tail tucked against his leg and ears lowered. "How many times do I have to tell you to stop letting people touch you? If you don't know them, then it's weird and you run." He was blushing, probably embarrassed about being scolded in front of others. Chet stood behind them, head c****d and looking unaware. "He wasn't your friend?" "Um," Harrison scratched his cheek, "No." He gasped. "No way! I totally thought he was! You should've said something." He held up his fists. "I would've punched him, like this, pow pow." He punched at the air, eyebrows scrunched in concentration and lips pursed. Lauren knocked Declan out of the way. "You're so cute! Nothing like Declan!" Declan frowned. "Hey." She moved onto Chet. "And you're so tall! Very cute." She gave them both a thumbs up, nodding to herself. Chet's tail wagged excitedly as he rubbed his neck. "You think?" "Oh yeah," She nodded deeply, "I've never seen someone so tall in person." "Wanna see my muscle?" He didn't wait for an answer, holding his arms up and flexing excitedly. "Cool, right?!" Lauren laughed, looking endeared as she touched his arm. "Very cool." He leaned down, waiting expectantly with his head dipped for her to pet him. Caesar looked at Hudson, who looked lifeless as he stared at Chet. "Looks like you have some competition." He sniffled sadly. "How can I compete with that? He's so tall." While Lauren cooed over Chet and gave him the pets he wanted, Harrison slowly scooted over to us. He eyed Declan, cautious to see if he'd get scolded again. "Here." I pressed the drink Caesar got him to his cheek and he easily perked up. "For me?" "Mhm." He mumbled a quiet 'thank you' and didn't hesitate to start sucking on the sweet drink, it might as well have just been plain sugar. I poked his cheek. "Don't let strangers touch you like that." "I can't help it," he admitted sulkily, "I feel bad if I tell them no." "Still, personal space is a thing. Just because you're a hybird doesn't make that an exception. If you're not comfortable then you need to tell them no." Caesar patted my chest. "Declan already scolded him, leave him be~" I let out a displeased noise and he pulled me further into his side, leaning down so Harrison wouldn't hear. "Don't take your anger out on him." I pushed his chest. "I'm not angry." He pulled me right back. "Yeah, yeah." Caesar reached out and ruffled Harrison's head. "Are you tired?" Harrison nodded, leaning into his touch while his tail started wagging again. "Declan woke me up two hours early." "Try to get some sleep on the bus." We didn't have to wait outside much longer, a few professors separated us onto the buses after we put our duffle bags in the compartments. "Do you wanna sit on the inside or outside?" "Whatever you don't want." Caesar stared at the seats and chose to let me sit on the inside, complaining how the seats were too close together for his legs. I was going to tell Harrison to sit in the seats across from us but Chet was already dragging him, so there was no need to. He grinned at us, somehow stuffing himself on the inside. "Um," Harrison laughed, "do you wanna switch seats?" "Huh, why? Do you?" He c****d his head. "I like it, I feel nice and protected." "You sit there then." Chet nodded and almost immediately startled when some girl threw herself into the seat in front of them. "I'm here!" Another girl silently sat next to her while looking exasperated. "We just made it! I had to run and everything." "Be quiet." The other girl dragged her down so she couldn't kneel on the seat anymore. "Audrey~ You're so mean." Harrison waved at the excited girl. "Hi, Mia." Mia poked her head over the seat and grinned at the boys. She was way too awake for it being 5am. I raised an eyebrow when I caught Audrey staring at me. Her eyes narrowed while her ears flicked. "Are you Morgan?" "Uh, yeah?" She looked at Harrison. "Is that your boyfriend, Harry?" I could hear Declan's neck snap over before I saw it. "Who's dating Harrison?" Harrison looked like a deer caught in the headlights, eyes wide and unmoving. "Uh.." Caesar laughed. "How did you even hear that?" Declan stood up from his seat next to his girlfriend and her friends, ten rows in front of us and stalked over. He looked around, eyeing everyone in the back rows. "Which one of you is dating Harrison?" He eyed some poor kid. "Is it you?" Mia shook Audrey's shoulders. "She's just joking. Tell the scary man you're just joking, Audrey." Audrey nodded. "My bad." Like a snake, Declan retreated back to his seat, eyes narrowed and glaring at anyone in his line of vision. "Why did you just laugh? He was gonna kill me if he found out." I whined while smacking Caesar's chest. "I thought it'd be funny." "Asshole." "Wouldn't it be funny, Harrison?" Caesar glanced over to Harrison who looked like he'd died and been resurrected. "I guess not." Mia stuck a piece of gum in her mouth and sighed. "Your brothers scary." Chet waved a hand in his face. "Are you okay?" As if snapping out of it, Harrison whined and leaned over the seat to shake Audrey's shoulders. "I told you that as a secret." "Huh? You've been telling everyone, what do you mean secret?" "Shhh, that's a secret!" Harrison glanced at us, red in the face and ears lowered. He's too cute. "It's true!" Mia nodded. "You told me you were dating your brothers friend Caesar." "I thought you were dating Morgan?" Chet c****d his head. Mia gaped at him. "You dog. You're getting two d***s?" Harrison threw his hoodie over his face and sank into his seat. "Please shut up." Audrey smacked Mia on the arm, making her whine. "They're literally right there, shut up." Mia turned to Caesar and I, eyes bulging and mouth dropping open. Chet looked just as shocked. "You're-?!" She didn't finish her sentence, cutting herself off as she smacked a hand over her mouth. Her words were muffled as she stared at Harrison. "I'm so sorry." Caesar raised an eyebrow as Chet's eyes narrowed on him. "What?" "Hm," He hummed thoughtfully, "I thought you'd be taller." Caesar looked offended, making me snort. "How tall are you? I'm 6'5." Caesar turned away and plugged his headphones in, blatantly ignoring Chet's curious eyes. "I'm going to sleep." "Awe," I nudged him, "don't be like that." He closed his eyes, only making me laugh again. - Two hours into the four hour trip, most of the people who'd fallen asleep right away were now awake. Though, it might've been due to Mia and Chet who were playing a competitive game of Uno. Since they were hybrids, nobody told them to be quiet. Caesar had woken up some time ago, wincing when he sat up since he'd been leaning down to rest his head on my shoulder. We were watching some movie together now, sharing a pair of headphones between us. Harrison had taken the hoodie off his head at some point but he looked embarrassed every time he glanced at us, making me want to kiss him each time. Caesar had his hand on my thigh, absentmindedly rubbing his thumb back and forth and slipping his fingers through the rips. Feeling uncomfortable, I threw my leg over his and let it dangle between his. He put his hand right back and started massaging my thigh again while I held the phone between us. "I'm hungry." He mumbled pitifully. "I have gum?" I offered but he shook his head, softly declining. A few minutes later, Harrison tapped Caesar's arm, making us both look over before a sandwich was shoved into his chest. He whipped around a second later, pretending to be completely immersed in their game of uno. Caesar reached out and grabbed the back of his hoodie, dragging him back and making him squeak. "This for me?" Harrison had to tilt his head back to look at him before nodding silently. "Thank you." He ruffled his hair and Harrison flushed. "You gave me a drink." He waved off shyly and turned back in his seat. I gazed at the wrapped sandwich. "Give me some." "Nah, it's mine." I took the earbud out of his ear and put it back in mine. "Babe." He tore the sandwich in half and handed it to me. "Give it back~" I took a bite and held the earbud out to him. He sulkily put it in his ear and took a bite of the sandwich. "If I starve, it's your fault." "Alright." I shrugged and he sulked even more. After the movie ended, I pressed play on the next suggested one. "Can I have gum?" I nodded and held the phone out for him to hold while I reached down for the small backpack I brought. He peeked over my shoulder and looked into the bag curiously. "..Why do you have condoms and lube?" "I always carry condoms and lube." "Really?" I nodded and he made a soft noise. "That's hot." I glanced at him as I held out a stick of gum. "Don't expect anything, pervert." "You're the one carrying it around." "I always carry it around. Today isn't an exception." "Even at school?" I grabbed the phone back and threw my leg over his thigh again. "Yeah." "Why haven't we ever f****d after class then?" "I don't know, it's just never happened." "..Can we?" I glanced over to see him already staring at me, looking completely serious. We stared at each other for a couple seconds before I finally looked away and pressed play on the movie. "Maybe."
