He sat with Addi out by the shoreline and smiled at her. Two more pack-less had wandered into the pack last night and Bastian had dealt with them, though he reported back that neither of them were from the same band of pack-less that had previously been sent away.
These two had been on the northern side of the lake, and of no obvious threat to Addi, but knowing they’d been inside the territory and prowling around, he’d sent Bastian off to deal with them, seeing as he’d been closer.
He was still the only one inside the pack that she could mind-link to for help at this point. If he was by some chance out of the pack, no one would know she was in trouble at all.
