Once again, there was no one for him here at the mating ball. He and Rali his wolf stood watching over his pack. It had been 10 years now since he’d been able to scent out a mate and still nothing. He’d been the Alpha since his father had died, when he was just 24.
He had no Luna to help him with duties. His own mother, Terra, had instated him after the death of her Mate and then just returned to her home pack, left him to it. She didn’t want to stay here and be the Luna of the pack while he waited to find his Mate. Told him point blankly, that could take him years.
