Stephanie was quick but also a tad bit paranoid. She was frightened her mother would somehow manage to escape the chains, if she did then she might report her car as stolen. She shuddered and pressed her foot against the gas, going slightly quicker. The hospital was in sight and she sighed with relief. She'd made it, her mother hadn't been able to get away and come after her, after all.
She eased into the parking lot and almost raced inside, colliding with a friendly looking doctor who looked a tad bit grim, possessively holding her as she blinked at him in surprise. Why did she feel sparks running down her arm and why was she feeling so drawn to a man she didn't even know? It was confusing and for a minute she completely forgot the reason she had even come here in the first place. Damn
