I had never been so insulted in my life and I had contemplated killing Alex when we got home but I had to be smarter than that. At the moment he only had a handful of rogues following him around and calling him Alpha. They were probably desperate and had major identity issues because I couldn’t see how any wolf would look up to Alex for leadership he was pathetic.
Nevertheless despite how pathetic I thought Alex was, I couldn’t underestimate his abilities to be cruel beyond measure and I had to keep in mind that he was only keeping me around because of what he thought I could bring to the table, which was nothing.
