"So," I stretched the word in the unusually high-pitched tone for me as soon as the Crown Prince closed the door of our carriage, and we drove off. "What do you think this was right now?"
"Just Arryn hinting that you have nothing to worry about," Killian chuckled as we were leaving the palace.
"If only I could trust him after everything!" I wasn't having any of it. "He is sleeping with a demon, after all."
"Sage," Killian sighed. "Let me take care of her. Arryn is playing dangerous games, but he's not stupid."
"I really hope so!" I rolled my eyes. "He is about to become a king, and we're kind of rooting for him. He can't have a war with demons and be in love with one at the same time. That's not how it's supposed to work."
