Killian stood up quickly before my bed and I saw sharp crystals of ice forming on the tips of his fingers. I didn’t get it at first but then the sudden thought occurred to me. Was he trying to protect me?
The door opened and the incredibly handsome daironian walked in with a smirk on his face.
Well, this was something I did not expect to see.
“Nice barrier,” he commented and then added. “It was.”
I could swear I heard Killian growl. Yet in the next second, he dissipated his ice and took a more relaxed stance.
“Please, excuse us for the intrusion,” Ewa walked in right after the man and smiled sweetly, “We were not sure that everything was all right here and just wanted to check. You don’t mind, Killian, do you?”
