Who would’ve known that it was already Graduation day?
I wasn’t counting the days. I just made the best of each day that passed in my life. Before I even knew it, I was already sitting among the senior students of Central Park East High School while listening to my girlfriend delivering her valedictory address.
Yes. Olivia Marie Thompson was our class valedictorian.
Nobody questioned it. She might not have actively participated in many sports and other extra-curricular activities, but she did really great with her academics. That was how she got the highest honor and I couldn’t get any prouder as I watched her. I also got to watch her up-close since I was sitting at the very front row.
Our parents and our friends’ families were at the back. I knew they were proud of us, too.
