The ride to Lulu’s place was very quiet. The air was so thick with tension. Occasionally, I’d check her out. She kept her eyes ahead, not daring to look at me. She knew that if she stared at me with those eyes, I’d pull up and do what she did to me in the hallway earlier.
That was very sudden, something I did not expect at all.
