Jessie made her way into the precinct tired from an exhausting day of chasing potential leads. She waved to a few co-workers as they passed by on their way out of the building. Because it was later than normal, she wondered if Abby had gotten tired of waiting and left for the day. Rounding the corner, she was surprised when she saw Abby still working.
"I wondered if you'd still be here. I'm sorry, I'm so late. I hadn't expected the case I'm working on to take so long."
