Hearing voices, Jessie turned toward the door. Four uniformed officers were in the doorway; one was autographing the sign-in sheet, while the one behind was waving the warrants in the air. Reaching out for them, Jessie was glad things were moving along.
"Excellent!" she said after reviewing them. "Thank you." She motioned for the officers to follow her to the front windows. "You see those two buildings out there?" She tapped her fingernail on the pane. "Those buildings line up with this building, and I'm wondering if maybe someone saw something. Maybe they were using binoculars, possibly spying on the residents for their enjoyment." She made a face. "Those buildings are The Towers and the Phoenix. I want you four to separate into two pairs, each pair canvassing one of the buildings. Knock
