Rushing inside the morgue, Jessie quickly strode to the opened doors of the elevator and pressed the down arrow, her heart hammering in her chest in anticipation of what the ME would tell her about Maureen's death. Samuel was walking by when the doors opened. "Samuel," she called out. "Oh, good, you're here. Follow me," he said.
