The next day, when Abril woke up, she saw Alessandro getting ready to leave.
"Are you leaving already?"
Alessandro approached the bed, stroked her tousled hair, and replied, "Yeah, I'll leave now and be gone for a day or two."
"Be very careful."
"I will. You can ask the duchess for anything you need."
Alessandro kissed her forehead and said, "I'll try to come back as soon as I can to be with you."
"Alright."
Alessandro headed to the door, and before he went through, Abril said to him, "Come back soon."
"I will."
Shortly after Alessandro left, a maid arrived to help her dress, and while doing so, Abril asked, "Where are the children who came with me?"
"They are in the garden with the duchess."
"Could you take me to them?"
"Of course, but don't you want to have breakfast first?"
