Birds tweeted and sunlight crept through the windows and danced on my face. I stirred as the warmth heated my face and subconsciously turned my head in a corner to bury my face. That was when his scent hit me. I slowly forced my eyelids apart. I was in the king's bedroom!
I found myself wrapped in his embrace, the warmth of his body seeped into my skin and I shifted comfortably, a smile playing on my lips. I recounted yesterday's events of how I got caught trying to run and it became funnier. I stretched, feeling surprisingly happy.
I lifted my head gently, to sneak a peek at him but rather I found him watching me.
The king smiled down at me and the shyness crept in. “Good morning,” he murmured.
I stared down at my fingers, as the shyness overwhelmed me. “Good morning Alpha.”
