The following morning I woke up before Jax. His steel grip around me felt comfortable and safe, and I smiled as I opened my eyes and welcomed the light that shone into the room. I leaned back into Jax and stretched, a hum of euphoria escaping my lips. Jax stirred a little bit, and his arm around me relaxed, and that way I knew he was awake. I turned in his arms and faced him, and was met by his gorgeous eyes. Last night, I tried talking to him about us being equal again, since we didn't have the most effective discussion in the shower, but he just kept distracting me all the time.
