I looked out over the pack, who were all sitting around a large table in the dining hall. This was my first breakfast with them as Luna, and one of the rare occasions when everyone would eat breakfast together, according to Jax. It was hard gathering all of the pack members every day, but today it was mandatory. This was my first day as Luna, and already I could tell it had changed things. The pack members bowed their heads when they passed me, and they rarely looked me in the eyes until I spoke to them. They started treating me like they treated Jax, and I don't know if I liked it or not. I think there sometimes can be a thin line between respect and fear, and I hadn't figured out what it was, yet.
