"You got to keep her calm, Alpha," the pack doctor said hurriedly. I growled at him for speaking like I wasn't even there.
"Honey, you need to -" Jax began, but I grabbed the collar of his shirt before he could even finish that sentence.
"Don't you dare honey me, you little s**t," I said, and I heard my voice being mixed with my wolfs.
That was the problem. The doctor said changing during birth is a considerable risk to the babies, and that it probably wouldn't end well for either of us. Jax has been stressing out for the last few weeks since we heard that, because he knows even he had a hard time calming my wolf down.
But my wolf and I were in pain; everything f*****g hurt.
