Jace couldn't stop staring at his brother. Alex never behaved in that manner before. Even though it was not his fault entirely, Jace felt guilty seeing his brother drive himself crazy. Why was he doing that to himself?
Helene was not the kind of girl he thought would have an impact on his brother. If they were genuinely dating, then why did Alex not say anything? Then again, they did not have the kind of relationship where they talk. It was just not possible for Jace to predict that Helene was stringing them along. Mostly his brother for money and fame.
