At least the space didn't morph again, looking as normal and ordinary as it always had, as much as any hub of Creation could. I cast flickering, nervous glances around as we walked, on one hand hoping things remained as they were and, on the other, longing for a further glimpse of what I'd seen before as proof I wasn't losing my mind or imagining things. Whatever triggered my vision was gone, however, and by the time we reached the entry to the archive, the tight, sick feeling in my stomach was so intense I rubbed it briefly to try to ease the ache. The Repository door welcomed me as kindly as it always did, without hesitation, swinging wide to allow me to pass through the gap between the tall, wood portals flanked by stately white columns and onto the landing of the main entry.
