I paced the back of the dark, deep cave, feeling like a trapped animal in a cage while the three friends of Mafdel stood at the entry and whispered among themselves. Unnerving how the two women, easily seven feet each if I could judge their height by mine, spoke in unison while the thin, quick Rowick's stray eye caught the faint bit of light from the small ball of illumination one of the twins set in the center of the space before leaving me be. My attempt to talk to the three was met with blank stares and silence so long and so uncomfortable I finally stomped off in the other direction. It didn't take me long to reach the edge of the space, to half circle around to them again. Muttering to myself my lack of enthusiasm for this stupid plan, I turned and abruptly headed back the other way
