If not anything else, I wanted to give Lycia a honeymoon to remember, not the nightmare we left behind in Bora Bora. My chest clenched around my heart every time I thought of how close I came to losing her. But I quickly pushed the thought aside, wanting to enjoy our honeymoon, too.
“Why did we come here to this island?" Lycia asked, her voice filled with curiosity as I took her hand and led her from the limo, waving off the driver and the guards that met us there. This time, I wasn't taking any chances.
I shrugged, placing my hand on the small of her back as I led her toward the front of the resort. “Na Pali Coast State Wilderness Park is close by, and I thought we could explore it a bit." I shrugged, giving her a smile. “Maybe go for a swim? There's a great place close to here—"
