She woke up, how she’d fallen asleep with Brax’s arm curled around her body and his hand still there with hers. Leigh sighed softly into the room, she felt well rested, and she knew it was because he, her Mate, was right there in the bed with her. Knew that sleeping next to one's Mate was actually good for you.
She’d never truly believed it deep down, slept well on any normal given day, didn’t see that there would be any difference, but here it was, not only was she well rested but awake and didn’t feel tired at all. The sun was barely up and there was the beginning of morning light filtering into the room through the window.
She also knew that Brax himself was awake, his fingers were lightly stroking over the back of her hand, no longer holding it as he’d been when she’d fallen
