Cynthia's POV
The sunset at dusk shone on my eyelids and I was forced to wake up from my sleep, only to realize that I had slept through the whole day, when the afterglow of the sunset had fallen on the windows and I had forgotten to draw the curtains, which was why I was awakened by the heat and light.
My body was feeling better, I thought the calming and sleeping ingredients in the medication had worked, and I was no longer as sore as I had been in the morning. I got out of bed and filled my stomach with some bread and water.
I didn't go back to sleep because I was going to go to the south side of the estate tonight to take a look. Since Mark had promised me to be able to visit, even for two hours, this was a very rare opportunity.
