Cynthia's POV
Mark's eyes widened and he refused without thinking, "That's impossible!"
"Impossible? Then you can find your own way to pay your debt." I said in a relaxed tone, holding my arms, and sure enough, I saw a look of struggle and fear emerge on his face.
"Cynthia, don't you think I can't do anything to you!" He suddenly changed his fierce face. "Don't you forget that you are still Mr. Madison's wife, and even if he were lying in bed, he could order me to tie you up and whip you all over the place!"
My heart immediately faltered for a moment, but then an even greater wave of resignation wrapped itself around me and I blinked and said, "You want to try? Try it, will Mr. Madison only whip me, or will he beat you, the gambler, with him?"
