Two weeks later…
I was a bit worried that Danie went home early today. She wasn’t answering my calls either. As soon as I stepped out of the elevator, Manang opened the door for me.
“Hi, sir! Good evening.”
“Good evening, where’s Danie?”
“She’s inside your room, sir.”
“Anything wrong with her?”
“She seemed alright. And she told me not to disturb her.”
Hmm. Something's not right. I wasn’t even able to answer Manang and strutted towards our room. However, anywhere I looked, she wasn’t there either. It was odd. It was not her at all. She never had me worry about her since our wedding.
Then I remembered to look into the study. When I extended my hand to grab the doorknob, it opened, and the loud voice shocked us both.
“Whaaaa” she screamed.
“Ma moitie!”
