The girls being safe was good news.
It was surprising that there were no guards or anyone around monitoring the girls. I wonder if the girls had been left alone many times, but had been too scared to leave the cave to find out if it was guarded, which must be why they picked girls this age. They were easy targets, and it appears it was not for their bodies but as workers.
If they had managed to take the twins, they would have had their hands full. They would not have put up with the conditions and would have gone looking when left alone. They might not have had the training like the others to protect themselves, but they were strong-willed and would try to escape.
