Gemma followed Aunt Melony into the office, and Uncle Scott explained why she was there. A computer geek should have known my thoughts sounded bitter even to me, and I had to try not to let that show. I did not mean it to sound negative; it suits her. Gemma was never an outdoor sporty type of girl; she preferred books and her laptop.
When we were shown our office, my mouth dropped open in shock; it was a great room.
With excitement, I immediately claimed the largest desk. There was a lot of stuff I needed to spread out and still be close to hand, and a large desk would suit that.
