Observing them remove Gemma from the back of the car was a relief; she was not moving, but zooming in, I could not see blood, and I took that as a good sign. They put her in the back seat of one of the cars and took off.
'Where are they taking her dad?' I asked anxiously.
'Here, Bethany is waiting for her arrival; she will check her out.'
'Where?' I pushed.
'Her bedroom. She will be more comfortable there.' I agree she would be happier to wake up in her familiar surroundings.
'I must go.' I got up to head to her room.
