It had been a difficult time at the palace. We have been without Austin for nearly a week, and it is wearing on everyone.
Axel is devastated, blaming himself for not being more aware, but I doubt his brother was on his mind. When he was bedding a woman, I think he felt bad for breaking all our rules about going and having a good time. If all he wanted was to bed a woman, I could have arranged for someone to come and give them what they wanted; I never tried to stop them from being young and experiencing all life had to offer.
Alex is angry at everyone. He feels he is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. I got where he was coming from; he was stuck; either he lost his brothers' trust or mine. If I am reading this right, he had no clue that it would be that day till it happ
