As expected, Dad peppered us with questions once Alex mentioned the bus change; we ended up agreeing that they changed plans because we arrived and not because they suspected us of knowing about their activities. After Austin's a*******n, it would have seemed odd if we did not show up to make sure all was on track; it is what any normal parent would do—or hope they would do.
'Have you had a chance to put a GPS on the school bus?' he asked, almost as an afterthought.
'They already have GPS on all the school buses; I have recently started a report of the school buses' movements on the day of each girl's camp and for the time they had been gone, see if I can track where they went.
