Unable to settle, I headed to Gemma's room and quietly entered, shutting the door behind me.
'Hey, can I stay with you?' I kissed her cheek gently, hoping not to scare her.
'Yes, ' she mumbled back. I feel I woke her up. It's good that she had managed to find sleep. I was worried she would be traumatized by what she saw. Sandra looked a mess, and I was not exactly at my best, laying into Ryan like that.
