Scott POV The children's party had begun. I mean, the visiting children had started to party, laughing, and music could be heard drifting down the hall. I had no clue whether the birthday children had arrived yet, and I was not about to go looking. They needed to be trusted to behave as they were meant to and not have us adults watching over them. They are seventeen now and should be given the trust of young adults, or so Bethany drilled into me. She said to let them be themselves, see how they behave around others at this party, and see how they go without supervision. By how well it goes off, we can tell them they acted like children when given the opportunity to show they were adults or something like that. I can see her point, but I would rather spot it before it got out of hand rat
